The DELF Prim is the first DELF, designed for children aged between 6 and 12, beginning to learn French. The only variable are the themes, as they focus more onto the teenager’s world.
The Junior version has the same structure as the Tout Public exam. The DELF Junior is addressed to students still in secondary school (from 12 to 17 years old). The DALF is the variation for higher levels (C1 and C2). The DELF TP is particularly required by French universities for foreigners who would like to get into them. The DELF Tout Public is designed for adults wishing to evaluate their level of French. The DELF, in its TP or Junior version, is available in four different levels, all of them corresponding to the four first levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL): A1, A2, B1 and B2. The DELF/DALF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française and Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) is the official exam issued by the French ministry of Education, to acknowledge the level of French of foreigners and French born in a non French-speaking country and not in possession of a high school or higher education diploma.
